What The Water Gave Me

Three designers, three whole new ideas of the waterworld.

Alexander McQueen
Sarah Burton made the most beautiful seacreatures for Alexander McQueen.
I'm speechless...

Chanel
This collection was 'under the sea, but not like mermaids'. Karl surprised us with modern shapes and graphic prints. There were ruffles, pearls, turquoises, the typical Chanel-jackets...everything a girl wants.

Givenchy
Riccardo Tisci wanted to show the more romantic side of him.
The inspiration: the lovestory between a surfer and a mermaid. The sensuality of the collection came from the mermaid and the more edgy pieces (those wetsuit inspired pants!) were inspired by swimwear. Mister Tisci showed us the waves, sunset, water and fish with his own very inspiring vision.

Week 20

Grande Arche / Eiffel Tower / Versailles / Notre Dame

It's been a long time ago, but despite that I want to show you some pictures of Paris. I had a blast, seriously! More pictures coming soon.

Paris

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, but I had a really nice time in...Paris! I was there five days with school and visited hotspots like the Eiffel Tower, Grande Arche and the Notre Dame. Will show you some pictures later.

Balmainia

Spanish temperament and eighties overload, that were the keywords of Balmain's new season. There was a lot of David Bowie and glam rock at his best. If it was up to creative director Christophe Decardin, then we wear next season embroidered jackets, powershoulders, cut out tops and glitter suits. The surprising thing was that the biker jacket was not present.
And my thoughts are with the people in Japan, let's pray for them!

American Indian

The perfect combination of American cool and Parisian chic with a hint of Navajo. That means a lot of fringe, embroideries, furs and printed dresses. But everything with the French attitude: that means covered up but still sexy. 'Look at me but don't look at me!' said by Tommy Ton.

Roar

There is never one way for Riccardo Tisci, designer for Givenchy. He made a big statement about duality this season with panthers and flowers. On the list for fall 2011: college/bomber jacket, PVC, some nice knits, sweaters and of course sheer!
A great hat, Kasia Struss is wearing.

Wood Wood

An easy-to-love collection by Celine: great colors, shapes and fabrics. Phoebe Philo was for her latest Celine collection inspired by a car and she found the femine sight of it. 'The way a car is designed, I find very seductive and very sensual. It's something you really get in to. And it's fast, strong and powerful.'
